I began studying music at Dial Junior High in
Pine Bluff, Arkansas and continued through High School in Montgomery, Alabama and Baton Rouge, Louisiana performing in marching, concert and stage bands, as well as symphonies on tuba and string bass. While
attending Northeast Louisiana University and LSU, I continued my musical education while performing with the Baton Rouge, Ruston and Monroe (Louisiana), Greenville (Mississippi) and
El Dorado (Arkansas) symphonies. In 1973, I began performing professionally with local bands around Baton Rouge and touring the "Hotel Circuit" across the Eastern U.S. In 1975, I
met Ted Bacot and joined his group "Sneaux". While with Sneaux, we recorded an album, most of which appeared in the soundtrack for the
movie "Neon Maniacs". In my musical career, I have performed with many groups and many musicians,
playing every style of music from country to jazz to rock-n-roll. I've worked with Percy Sledge, Bill Wray, Raful Neal, Big Luther Kent among others. Michael
